“Took our new puppy to see Dr. Arredondo at Belcher Animal Hospital. First checkup, shots, the really important things for our new family member. The entire staff was friendly and 100% on point with everything. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend for all the pet owners in the area.”

Dr. Jamie Arredondo

Hi, I am Doctor Jamie Arredondo and owner of Belcher Animal Hospital.  I am a Chicago area native and have been living in the St. Petersburg area since 2016. I had the wonderful opportunity to attend St. George’s School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of Grenada.  I then completed my clinical year at NC State College of veterinary medicine and graduated Magna cum Laude in 2015. I have an interest in working with all animals excluding poisonous creatures.  I welcome seeing your dogs, cats, small farm animals and exotics pets.   I am focused on partnering with you in your pets care. I find it extremely important to thoroughly discuss preventative care recommendations as well as disease processes and test results.   I have a small zoo of my own consisting of dogs, cats, red footed tortoises, ducks and aquatic pets.  I spend my free time being a mom to 4 young children and trying with my husband to entertain them.

Marissa Preston

Marissa joined our team in January of 2023 as the Hospital Manager.  Although you may not always see her, she does enjoy helping out in Reception and in Treatment when her team needs an extra hand.  Marissa really enjoys interacting with clients and getting to know them while also getting to know their furry (or not so furry) pets and making them feel as comfortable as possible.  Marissa is particularly obsessed with smooshy faced pets as well as sassy cats.   Marissa initially got into Veterinary Medicine because she wanted to make a difference in helping clients care for their pets while always keeping the pets best interest in mind.  Marissa has two white Boxers, a Siamese mix and two Red Footed Tortoises at home.  Outside of the hospital, Marissa really enjoys working out, traveling and spending quality time with her husband and two small children.

Dr. Ana Veselinovic

I joined the Belcher Family in April of 2023 as a veterinary nurse and I really like working with animals, small, large, furry, hairless, doesn’t matter. Just bring them all.
I have been in the veterinary field for 18 years now and I wouldn’t be able to imagine my self doing anything else.
Other than animals, I really enjoy hiking and biking in nature with my husband and daughter, and most of all I enjoy snow, and anything related to it. I also love cooking and baking, and trying a new recipes from all over the world could be considered a hobby of mine.

Roxanne

Hello, my name is Roxanne and I am a receptionist and nurse at Belcher Animal Hospital. I have been working here for over a year and have been in the veterinary field for almost 10 years. I am very passionate about helping owners learn how to take the best care of their pets with preventive action and I have special interest in holistic medicine for both pets and people. I have lived in Florida for all my life and I love the beach and sunshine! If it were up to me it would be summer all year long. I spend a lot of time outdoors, at the beach, camping, and seeing live music with my wonderful husband and partner Adam. I have 3 amazing dogs Jax, Maple, and Herbie!

Hailee

I’ve worked at Belcher Animal Hospital since 2020, after completing a program to obtain my CVA. I’m incredibly passionate about what I do, my goal career is to get into wildlife rehabilitation.
